Location

Avileses is a peaceful picturesque small village located in the east of Murcia, Spain, not far from the popular Mar Menor, a large saltwater lagoon very popular with tourists.

It is a relatively small community with typical Spanish architecture and a rural atmosphere, it celebrates its traditions with music, dance and gastronomy.

The surrounding countryside, known for fruit and vegetable crops, offers opportunities for walking/cycling etc. It is also close to natural reserves for the nature lovers. There is also a good choice of Golf Courses within a short drive. 

The nearby villages/ towns of Balsicas, La Tercia, Roldan are a short 10/15-minute drive away. San Javier is about a 20-minute drive, there you will find Dos Mares Shopping Centre and a good variety of shops in the vicinity. There are larger shopping centres in Torrevieja and Murcia   they are ideal for a full days shopping as they offer a good selection of shops and restaurants.
